Leeds United have sealed the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds United completed their stunning managerial appointment today, as they landed legendary Marcelo Bielsa as Paul Heckingbottom’s successor on a two-year contract, with an option of a third.
The Whites sacked Heckingbottom earlier this month after just four wins in 16 games, with the ex-Barnsley given his marching orders despite only arriving in the Elland Road hot seat in February.
After going with that modest approach just four months ago, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani decided to ramp things up a notch this time, launching a stunning move for Bielsa.

The 62-year-old had been out of work since leaving Lille in December, and Leeds have now successfully tempted him back into management in one of the most ambitious moves the Championship has ever seen.
A renowned coach from his days in charge of Argentina, Chile, Athletic Bilbao and Marseille, Bielsa pushes a bold 3-3-1-3 system, and has inspired the coaching make-up of bosses like Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.
The move has sparked huge reaction from Leeds fans as well as major pundits, and now one former Whites defender has taken to Twitter to offer his opinion on the move.

Italian centre back Giuseppe Bellusci – now with Palermo – made 61 appearances for Leeds following a 2014 move from Catania, and whilst he left the club permanently last summer, he hasn’t forgotten about his former side.
Bellusci suggested that Bielsa is a ‘great coach’ at a ‘great club’ in Leeds, before signing off with the famous Leeds motto of ‘marching on together’ as Bielsa’s arrival causes a stir.
