Tottenham face Inter in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Inter Milan legend Giuseppe Baresi has told Football London that he believes Tottenham Hotspur trio Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen strike similarities to 2010 Spurs stars Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart.
Spurs are currently preparing in Italy to face Inter Milan on Tuesday night in their first match of the Champions League group stage, with Mauricio Pochettino missing a number of key players.
The north Londoners played Inter back in 2010 at the Giuseppe Meazza and with a scoreline of 4-0 at half-time, now-Real Madrid superstar Bale scored a sensational second-half hat-trick to reduce the arrears.
That side boasted the likes of van der Vaart and Modric as well as Bale, and Baresi believes the current side echo the quality of Tottenham’s 2010 outfit in the form of Kane, Alli and Eriksen.
“There are some similarities between the two sides, looking at the players they have and the way they play,” Baresi said. “Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane – three of the stars of the current team – are on a similar level to the three you mentioned from 2010.
“They were a fearsome side then just as they are now, but Inter are perfectly capable of giving them a game.”

Spurs are without Alli for Tuesday evening’s clash as he continues to recover from a muscle problem, as does Hugo Lloris who is not likely to return until the September 29 clash against Huddersfield.
Pochettino has also left defenders Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld in north London, leaving Spurs with somewhat of a makeshift side. Serge Aurier and Davinson Sanchez are likely to start in defence.
