Rangers and Arsenal already have pretty settled managers, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst appears to be open to future moves to both clubs.

Steven Gerrard is now two years into his stint as Rangers boss, but he is still waiting for his first piece of silverware since making his move to Ibrox.

Meanwhile, Arsenal appointed Mikel Arteta as their new boss back in December, and will have real hope that the Spaniard can take the club forward.

Still, Van Bronckhorst seems to be interested. The Dutchman has spoken to Sky Sports, and admitted that he wants to manage the teams he appeared for in his playing career.

“At the moment I’m enjoying my work in China,” said Van Bronckhorst. “But as a player I had ambition and as a coach I have ambition. The Premier League for me is the number one league in the world to be working at and, for me, it is definitely an ambition to work in. I always said if I could coach the teams I played for it would be a big dream,” he added.

He has already managed Feyenoord, winning the Eredivisie title in 2017. If Van Bronckhorst fulfils that dream, he will manage Rangers, Arsenal and Barcelona in the future.

Currently in China with Guangzhou R&F, Van Bronckhorst has taken a surprise move out of European football despite a win rate of almost 61% a Feyenoord boss.

It seems unlikely that he will jump from China to Arsenal, but with Gerrard under pressure, heading to Rangers in the near future may not be out of all realms of possibility.

He was popular Ibrox, bagging 22 goals in 117 games for Rangers before joining Arsenal. It’s clear that Van Bronckhorst wants to manage in the Premier League one day, but having admitted he wants to manage all of his former clubs, there is a chance for him to re-join Rangers in the future.
