Tottenham brought in Lo Celso from Real Betis yesterday, and the midfielder is expected to have a major impact at White Hart Lane this term.
Mauricio Pochettino had made Lo Celso one of his top targets for the summer, so to get a deal over the line must have been a major boost for the Tottenham manager.
The Argentine should add to Spurs’ creativity, but it is not entirely clear what role he will play yet.
Lo Celso could be Christian Eriksen’s replacement, if the Dane does leave Spurs before the end of the month.
Alternatively, the creative midfielder is also capable of playing a more deep-lying role, and he could start alongside fellow new signing Tanguy Ndombele.
Lo Celso certainly seems excited to get started at Tottenham, with the Argentine taking to social media for the first time since making the move today, and Spurs fans were quick to welcome him.
Tottenham are set to open their season tomorrow, with a match against Aston Villa, but Lo Celso is unlikely to be involved.
