David Ginola has picked seven Tottenham Hotspur stars in his combined Arsenal and Spurs side, when talking to TalkSPORT on Friday morning.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs face Arsenal in the first north London derby of the season on Saturday, as the lunchtime kicks off the return to domestic football after the international break.

Plenty of pundits have chosen their combined sides in the build up to Saturday’s big match, and former Tottenham star Ginola was asked to do the same when talking on Alan Brazil’s Breakfast Show this morning.

TV pundit David Ginola looks on before the Barclays Premier League match between Swansea City and Newcastle United at the Liberty Stadium on December 4, 2013 in Swansea, Wales.

Quoted by Brazil’s official Twitter account, Ginola picked seven Spurs stars including the likes of Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane, but failed to include Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez in the side.

Ginola, 50, also considered a new role for Spurs playmaker Christian Eriksen, stating that he would “love” to see the 25-year-old Dane take on a deeper central-midfield position.

“I would love to see Eriksen play in that role,” Ginola said. “He has got a good heart, so he can run and get the ball back, and construct the game.

“We were talking about a lack of Arsenal strikeforce, but with Ramsey, Alli and Ozil there would be plenty of balls [for Kane], put their foot on the ball and they can pass it. Dembele and Eriksen would be organising everything.

“Very strong at the back, great goalkeeper. I think it is a winning side.”

Spurs travel to the Emirates Stadium ahead of Saturday’s clash, as they look to continue to wield their dominance on Arsene Wenger’s side after finishing above the Gunners in the Premier League last season for the first time since 1985.

Pochettino’s side are in a strong run of form against Arsene Wenger’s men, losing just once in their last seven outings against the Gunners and will be looking to continue that on Saturday.
