Liverpool have recovered well from losing two games in a row earlier this month.

Liverpool ace Gini Wijnaldum spoke exclusively to the club’s official website about how his team have bounced back from their dip in form at the start of the month, and shared what Jürgen Klopp told the players in the aftermath of back-to-back defeats to Manchester city and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

The Reds currently sit top of the Premier League table, four points clear of second placed City, and they have a tremendously difficult last 16 Champions League tie against Bayern Munich to come next month.

Liverpool have been mightily impressive this season, but there did seem to be cause for concern earlier this month, when they lost to Pep Guardiola’s side, before being dumped out of the FA Cup by Wolves.

The Merseyside outfit have bounced back superbly, however, winning two extremely hard-fought games away at Brighton and home to Crystal Palace respectively.

And Wijnaldum explained how Klopp played a key role in his side’s ability to put the two defeats behind them so quickly, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“Every team learns when they lose a game. What I learned the most was that we still need to keep the confidence; in Jürgen we have a manager who can help us with that. That’s what he said after the games against City and Wolves – that we must keep the confidence and maybe even work harder than before.”

Liverpool now face a trip to West Ham sandwiched by two home games against Leicester and Bournemouth, before they take on the mighty Bayern Munich.

And that three week spell could very well end up defining their campaign.
