Gilberto Silva has praised Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney on Twitter for his performance against Benfica on Thursday evening.
Arsenal got the better of Benfica 3-2 in the home leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie.
The result means that Mikel Arteta’s side have progressed to the Round of 16 4-3 on aggregate.
Tierney was superb for the Gunners and scored midway through the second half to help his side to a win.
Arsenal legend Silva has said the 23-year-old former Celtic star was “amazing” against Benfica, and he has also praised Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his performance in the game.

Tierney recently returned from injury, and the 23-year-old is starting to get back to his best.
The Scotland international was solid at the back against Benfica and was a key figure in Arsenal’s attack.
According to WhoScored, the defender played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 82.5%, took 79 touches, made two interceptions and three clearances, and put in 13 crosses.
