Nicklas Bendtner’s Arsenal return began with a bang.
Nicklas Bendtner made his return to Arsenal’s first team for the first time in more than two years, and it did not begin smoothly.
Selected as a lone frontman in the Capital One Cup tie against West Brom, he showed his commitment to the Arsenal cause by putting his body on the line in attempting to reach a cross.
It didn’t go well, as he missed the ball and collided with the post, clutching his ribs painfully. Ouch.
As the television commentator said of the Dane, “It’s the biggest impact he has made for Arsenal for quite a while.”
