Giannis Antetokounmpo could be on his way out of Milwaukee soon.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar hasn’t formally requested a trade but he and his agent are in communication with the team over his future and whether it’s best for him to stay or leave.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been vocal about wanting to win another championship and with how things are looking in Milwaukee, it might not be the best spot for him to continue his career.

According to an NBA insider, Giannis has already asked to be traded even though he remains cordial with the Bucks.

Brian Windhorst says Giannis Antetokounmpo has already made it clear that he wants out

With Antetokounmpo’s future uncertain with the Bucks, heavy trade speculation has already begun.

Giannis did suit up in the game against the Detroit Pistons, but he went down with a non-contact injury in the first quarter and left the game. He was out the remainder of the game with a right calf strain.

While it remains to be seen what will happen with Giannis in Milwaukee, Brian Windhorst said he already asked to be traded.

“The Bucks called the Knicks and asked for an offer for Giannis, okay?

“Because Giannis said I want to be a Knick. So people were like, oh my God, he deleted a photo from May where he had a Bucks logo on it. Guys, he asked to be traded already.

“What appears is that Giannis committed himself for the season to the Bucks.

“That’s what happened. Everything he said in his mood. But the Bucks are not good this year. When he hasn’t played they’re one in five and when he has played they’re nine and eight.

“So they’ve been .500 when he’s played. And when he hasn’t played, they’ve been, they’ve been getting raced. What you’re asking me is, is his viewpoint, would his viewpoint change?

“I don’t know. Like, like I know that he asked for a trade and then he said, okay, I’m going to be a Buck this year.

“I know that a lot of people in the league don’t think he’ll be a Buck next year.”

Where will Giannis Antetokounmpo land if he is traded?

The New York Knicks appear to be the favorite to land Giannis if he does become available.

It was previously reported that Antetokounmpo was interested in being traded to the Knicks this offseason.

The Knicks have remained the only team Antetokounmpo showed any interest in joining. Beyond the Knicks, the San Antonio Spurs have been heavily linked to Giannis because of the assets they could give up.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have also been mentioned as they are loaded with picks that could entice the Bucks. Or maybe a wild card team like the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors or Atlanta Hawks could sneak in and make a huge swing for Antetokounmpo.
