Could Juventus and Celtic be drawn in the same group in the Champions League this season?

Both Italian powerhouse Juventus and Scottish giants Celtic will feature in the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition this season.
Buffon has played at Celtic Park before – in 2001 and 2013 – and the 39-year-old Italy international goalkeeper has said that he wants to play against the Bhoys again.
The former Parma star, who is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time and won the World Cup with Italy in 2006, has explained why he wants Juventus to get drawn in the same group as Celtic during Thursday’s draw.

“I want to experience electricity of Celtic Park once more,” Buffon told The Daily Record. “Playing in the Champions League allows you to experience some of the most exciting stadiums in Europe and when you are younger you take that for granted as there are many more opportunities ahead of you.
“But as you get older you realise there are things you perhaps won’t experience again. I want to test myself at the Bernabeu and Camp Nou again, I want to play in another special evening game at Old Trafford.
“I want to experience the electric atmosphere of Celtic Park once more. Hopefully I can experience some of those things again – but the reality is that some of them I won’t.”

Buffon’s comments should make Celtic fans proud. Celtic Park has one of the best atmospheres in the world, and the Juventus goalkeeper’s comments show just how much opposition players relish playing there.
Celtic have a good squad, but Brendan Rodgers’s side could once again struggle to make it past the group stage of the Champions League this season.
However, it can be said with guarantee that the atmosphere that the Celtic fans will generate during the home matches in the competition will be electric.
