West Ham United are looking to add more firepower to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
West Ham United are in the hunt to add more goals to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season and they are lining up an ambitious £35 million swoop for Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, according to the Sun.
In January, then-Chelsea assistant Gianfranco Zola lauded the qualities of Wilson because his name was being touted with the Stamford Bridge club.
The 27-year-old powerhouse has been one of the standout England strikers in the Premier League in recent seasons, which has seen him take the number two seat for the Three Lions behind star man Harry Kane.
Nonetheless, earlier on this year, Zola explained what he loved about Wilson, who could potentially be making a switch from Bournemouth to West Ham this summer.
“He’s strong, fast and he sees the goal,” said Zola, as quoted by FourFourTwo. “I like [him] because he’s quick but also strong in the air, which is also a very important quality.
“Having said that, I don’t want to go too much into it [Chelsea links with Wilson]. He’s doing very well and I’m pleased for him. He has a lot of qualities that can take him a long way. I really hope that he keeps improving like this.”

He has proven that he is ready to take the next step in his career, and a move to West Ham is the ideal place for him to go because they will be aiming for European football next term.
