West Ham United are currently in 17th place in the Premier League table.
Gianfranco Zola has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 25th November on TalkSPORT, that he finds it difficult watching West Ham United struggle so badly.
Zola used to manage West Ham, and he still has a strong connection to the London club.
Zola admits that he finds it tough watching West Ham stuck in a relegation battle, but the former Italian international striker has seen signs of encouragement.

West Ham were very close to winning against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in their last outing.
And Zola believes that if West Ham can keep working hard, they will begin to turn things around.
“It’s difficult to see them struggling so much,” Zola said. “Last week against Tottenham, they were very unlucky. They need to perform and keep their heads down.”

West Ham were expected to challenge for a European spot this season, but they have fallen short so far.
The Hammers are currently in 17th place in the Premier League table, and they are just one point above the relegation zone.
West Ham are next in action this weekend, when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.
