The striker is reportedly set to be on the sidelines for the next few months.
West Ham United’s Andre Ayew receives medical attention before going off injured
Ghana FA’s technical director has told the Sunday People that if Andre Ayew returns to his home country for treatment of his thigh injury, he could be back playing for West Ham in two weeks.
The £20.5m signing limped off just 20 minutes into his debut against Chelsea, and the Sunday People report that he will be missing for Slaven Bilic’s side until the end of November.

But while Bilic appears to be resigned to being without the former Swansea man for several months, Oti Akenteng has claimed that there is a way that he could be in contention to feature against Watford in the Hammers’ first game following the international break.
“There are a lot of herbal medical doctors, who can use traditional medicine to cure Andre Ayew’s injury in just two weeks,” he told the People.
“I will speak to his father about that.

“I believe that if he comes to Ghana and returns as a fit person, his manager would have no other option than to use him.”
Regardless of whether the herbal medicine would have a positive impact on Ayew’s injury in the short-term, Bilic will surely be cautious about giving such treatment the green light.
Though he is set to be without Ayew for a while, he has several options at his disposal that can help soften the blow of losing the 26-year-old for a considerable period of time, and the last thing he will want to do is rush the Ghanaian back before he is fully fit as he may sustain a further problem that forces the forward to spend even longer on the sidelines.
