‘Unbelievable’: Jamie O’Hara predicts Celtic v Real Madrid Champions League clash

Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Celtic will get ‘pumped’ by Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League showdown at Celtic Park on Tuesday night, as he told talkSPORT.

The former Premier League midfielder has backed the Spanish champions to see off Scotland’s finest and secure a 3-1 win ahead of their Champions League opener.

Ange Postecoglou has done remarkably well since he stepped foot onto the Celtic turf, but facing off against the Champions League holders and Carlo Ancelotti is going to be his biggest test yet.

For many of these Celtic players, this will be the greatest night of their careers and the chance to create a memorable and unforgettable evening.

Back in 2012, then teenager Tony Watt made a name for himself when he scored the crucial goal of Celtic’s 2-1 win over Barcelona at Parkhead.

Could something similar unfold in a few hours time? Well, talkSPORT pundit O’Hara thinks this occasion is brilliant for Scottish football, but he can see nothing but a Madrid win.

“What a night this is going to be for Scottish football,” said O’Hara. “Unbelievable fixture.

“Look, they are coming off from the Old Firm game winning 4-0. They are going to be confident going into it. The Champions League.

“I think they are going to get pumped. I think they will get beat. I think they will get beat comfortably. I am going to go 3-1.”

ANOTHER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOR MADRID?

The Spanish giants are the kings of Europe with an astonishing 14 European Cups to their name, including their 1-0 win over Liverpool in Paris in May.

Ancelotti has won this trophy alone on four occasions and with Madrid starting the new La Liga season with four wins from four, it seems as though they have gone up another level from the last campaign.

The usual suspects of Liverpool will be mentioned to perhaps add trophy number seven to the Anfield cabinet, whilst fans of PSG and Manchester City are hoping they can finally put their name alongside the elite.

Either way, if you can see past Real Madrid, then you are probably on that plane to Istanbul for the final because they have a mix of ruthless experience and fearless youngsters.
