Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been speaking about Arsenal’s centre-back partnership of Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White.
The Gunners have been without Gabriel and White for periods of this season, but over the last fortnight, we’ve been able to see them playing together.
Interestingly, Arsenal have kept two clean sheets in two games since uniting this pairing, and Wright believes the pair are both getting better and better the more they play together.
What’s been said?
Wright was speaking about Arsenal’s recent mini-resurgence.
“We’ve silenced a few, and the way we’ve silenced a few is with changes we’ve made. Ramsdale, his distribution is much better. White and Gabriel are both getting better with how they’re playing together. Partey and Odegaard, there’s something beautiful about that man,” Wright said.

Formidable
Arsenal have struggled to find a formidable centre-back partnership for so long, but it seems as though they finally have one here.
Of course, it’s early days and they’ve only played against Burnley and Norwich, but the signs are bright.
White is a real talent, while Gabriel proved himself last season, so there’s no reason why the pair can’t combine to be a brilliant partnership.
As Wright says, they’re only getting better the more they’re playing with one another, and as the season progresses, they could become one of the best partnerships in the Premier League.
