Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson criticised their actions amid the Super League fiasco.
The £20 million man hit out at Leeds for putting shirts with the words ‘Champions League. Earn It’ in their dressing room, in an interview with The New York Times.
Henderson said: “The T-shirts, I felt, were disrespectful. The players hadn’t done anything. It wasn’t something we wanted.”
Leeds had the shirts made for the 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Leeds at Elland Road on April 19th.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men were seen warming up while wearing them.
It came after the Reds had signed themselves up to be part of the Super League, in which Europe’s biggest clubs wouldn’t have to qualify for any elite competition, but would merely partake in it because of their status.

How elitist.
In our view, Henderson got the wrong end of the stick.
As the Liverpool No.14 even admits, Jürgen Klopp’s players didn’t want any part of the Super League.
In that respect, why didn’t they wear the shirts given to them by Leeds?

It wasn’t meant as an insult to Liverpool. In our view, it was just an offering for the Reds to join them in their protest.
Sadly, it seems as if the 30-year-old took it personally.
Let’s see how the Leeds fans on Twitter reacted to Henderson’s comments…
