Guaita is said to have passed a medical at Crystal Palace this week.

Crystal Palace appear to have been dealt a blow in their attempts to sign Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita this month.
It was widely reported this week that Guaita had passed a medical ahead of a move to £3.5 million move to Palace, who have both of their senior shot-stoppers out of contract in the summer.
Speaking on Friday, however, Getafe manager Jose Bordalas revealed he is ‘convinced’ the Spaniard will remain with the Madrid side.

“I think he will stay, I am convinced about that,” Bordalas said, as quoted by Sky Sports [live blog entry 16:39]. “I have spoken to my president [Ángel Torres Sánchez] about it. He is has now recovered from injury and has trained with his team mates and I think I can include him in our next game.”
Should Guaita remain a Getafe player come 1st February, it would not necessarily spell the end of Crystal Palace’s hopes with the 31-year-old’s deal also up at the end of the campaign.
Palace have already strengthened their squad with the signings of Erdal Rakip and Jarosław Jach from Benfica and Zagłębie Lubin respectively.

However, it is claimed the Eagles failed with a bid for Lille defender Ibrahim Amadou earlier this week.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson revealed at the start of this month that he hopes to sign ‘six or seven players’ ahead of Wednesday night’s deadline.
