Tyler Roberts has told a Chelsea fan on his Instagram story ‘get to understanding’ about the Leeds United away support.
The Leeds forward screenshot a message from a Chelsea fan on his IG where he was amazed by their away support at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea fan, as you can see from the tweet below, stated that he ‘doesn’t understand’ how Leeds United supporters were ‘making more noise’ than those sitting in the home end over the weekend.
Roberts posted a picture of the above message on Instagram and issued the following response.
“Get to understanding,” added with smiling face emoji. Then he added, “best in the game.”
Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffered a gut-wrenching 3-2 defeat in London, with Jorginho scoring two penalties, including one in stoppage-time.
After fans weren’t allowed into stadiums last season, this is the first time in nearly two decades that those in the colours of Leeds can enjoy away days once more in the Premier League.
Even during Leeds’ days in the lower leagues, including League One, they had a very strong following, so that has simply continued now they are back in the big time.
But it’s another difficult trip for Leeds on Tuesday night because they travel to the Etihad to take on the Premier League champions.
Leeds secured all three points at Manchester City last season, even though they had a man sent off and they will be looking to cause havoc once more.
Their biggest problem is that they are once again going to be without their injured key men in Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper.
But the beauty of this Leeds side under Bielsa is the fact that they can still produce high-quality performances, even if their squad is depleted.
