Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that the club are interested in signing Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
According to The Sun, Tottenham are among the clubs interested in signing White from Premier League rivals Brighton this summer.
Leeds United, Manchester United, Leicester City, Manchester City and Chelsea are also reported to be interested in securing the services of the 22-year-old central defender.
The British tabloid has claimed that Spurs have asked Brighton about the youngster, who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Leeds, and the Seagulls have told them that he will cost over £50 million.
With Jan Vertonghen having left Spurs this summer, head coach Jose Mourinho could do with a new central defender, especially someone who is only 22 years of age, is talented, and can also operate in central midfield.
However, it is unlikely that the North London outfit will cough up over £50 million as transfer fee for White.
