Newcastle fans are divided on Twitter as to whether they should part ways with DeAndre Yedlin, who seemingly wants to leave the club this summer.

MLS Soccer recently claimed that Yedlin may have played his final game in the Black and White strip, as the right-back is now ‘very interested’ in returning home to the States.

It is said that a return to the MLS is ‘at the top of the list’ for the fullback, who hasn’t been a regular at St James’ Park for a number of seasons now.

There are sections of Newcastle fans who are more than happy to see him leave because they feel he doesn’t offer them much other than speed.

Whilst others think it would be a risk losing him because in their current situation they cannot afford to lose squad depth.

Talk of a takeover at Newcastle has been going on for yonks now and will continue to rumble on until Mike Ashley has finally left.

Yedlin joined Newcastle four-years ago when he made a switch from Tottenham, but it’s fair to say that he hasn’t really progressed.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave before the window slams shut in October, as Newcastle fans offered their thoughts on his future:
