Leeds have now posted a video of the players training under Sam Allardyce at Thorp Arch ahead of a huge game on Saturday.
The Whites travel to Manchester City in desperate need of three points, with only goal difference keeping them out of the Premier League relegation zone as things stand.
Allardyce has wasted no time in putting his new squad through their paces, and some interesting audio could be heard in the video posted by Leeds.
What’s the story?
Well, Allardyce can be seen chatting to Rasmus Kristensen on his way out to the pitches at Thorp Arch.
However, it was Karl Robinson – brought in to be Allardyce’s No.2 alongside Robbie Keane – who said the most intriguing things in the footage.
The 42-year-old could be heard shouting “get it right” at the Leeds players just after the 60-second mark, as if to suggest they were struggling to understand the training drills.
Robinson could also be heard yelling “take responsibility” as the squad are made to do pushups.
As you can see after the 70-second mark in the footage, Robinson’s body language, specifically the use of his arms, suggests that the pushups were a punishment when you consider what he said as well.
Of course, we are not privy to what happens behind closed doors at Leeds, but the video makes it seem as if Allardyce is running a boot camp, where there is no place to hide.
Leeds need the Allardyce treatment
Allardyce is an old fashioned manager. As he walked out onto the pitches at Thorp Arch in his Copa Mundial boots, ordering players to run laps and do pushups, it is clear that he wants 100% commitment from everybody.
In our view, that is exactly what Leeds need right now.

With Manchester City, West Ham, Newcastle and Tottenham to come, Leeds are unlikely to play them off the park purely through their footballing ability – with all due respect.
However, what Leeds can do is outrun their opponent, fight for every single ball and make life difficult, which could be all it takes to scape enough points together for survival.
