Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to Matheus Pereira asking to leave West Brom.
Just like Jack Grealish at Villa, there has been a lot of talk about Pereira’s future at West Brom, but in a smaller spotlight.
West Brom’s new manager, Valerien Ismael, slammed the left-footed player and claimed that he ‘not committed’ amid rumours about his future.
But Pereira hit back on Twitter and defended his actions, but with it, also claimed that he wants to leave the Championship side this summer.
Alongside a number of Premier League clubs, Aston Villa have shown interest in the player and it will be interesting to see if they now push for his signature.
Whilst some Villa fans shared that they would take him on board, his actions have seemingly been off-putting for supporters.
Plus, others pointed out that Leon Bailey is about to walk through their doors, so perhaps he’s not needed after all.
But then again, if Villa ended up losing Grealish’s talents to Manchester City then they will need to replace their star man.
Either way, whilst Pereira is showing a poor attitude by publicly coming out and expressing his frustrations, it doesn’t hide the talent he has at his feet.
Pereira has great close control, the ability to carry the ball from deep, a wand of a left foot and he can score that special goal, so perhaps he is still worth keeping an eye on.
