The Uruguayan has gotten off to a good start at Celtic Park after joining on loan from AC Milan on transfer deadline day, and it seems as though he has done enough to convince supporters that he should be signed permanently.
Fans have previously raved about his performances on social media, so it’s no surprise to see that they want him to stay permanently.
Unfortunately, the Bhoys don’t hold an option to buy the left-footer at the end of the season, but as we know, that doesn’t always mean a deal is impossible to broker.
The cost of signing Laxalt remains to be seen, but it seems as though some supporters want the club to stump up and sign him regardless of the fee.
It may be difficult to get this one over the line, AC Milan are a big club who aren’t likely to let Celtic land a cut-price deal, but if he keeps up these types of performances, the Hoops may want to spend big money on the Uruguay international.
Laxalt certainly has the pedigree to be a success in the SPFL in the coming years, starring at the World Cup and playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world with Milan.
If Celtic want to continue their run of consecutive league titles, signing him could be key.
