Some West Ham fans on social media are over the moon after hearing that the club are trying to tie Vladimir Coufal down to a new contract.
The Czech full-back has been nothing short of a revelation since joining the London club last summer, and despite the fact he’s only been at the club for a year, he’s in line for an extended contract.
To be fair, it’s hard to argue that Coufal doesn’t deserve a new deal at the London Stadium. His arrival has coincided with the Hammers’ best season in years, and that’s no coincidence.
The full-back has cemented himself as one of the best defenders in the division this term, and tying him down to an improved contract will help West Ham protect one of their prized assets.
Understandably, Hammers supporters were over the moon to hear that the club are trying to negotiate new terms with Coufal, and we can only hope that this deal is finalised sooner rather than later.
