Leeds United captain and central defender Liam Cooper has responded to Pascal Struijk’s post on Instagram following the match against Aston Villa.
Struijk was in action for Leeds in their Premier League game against Villa away from home at Villa Park on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or a defensive midfielder, started the match, but head coach Marcelo Bielsa took him off on 21 minutes.
The youngster had earned an early yellow card, and the way he was playing, there was a chance that he could get a second caution and be sent off.
According to WhoScored, during his time on the pitch, Struijk had a pass accuracy of 92.9%, took 17 touches, attempted one dribble, and made one interception.
The Dutchman has taken to Instagram to express his delight at the win for Leeds, and has said that he will learn from his performance and substitution, and his teammate and captain Cooper has responded to his post.

Struijk wrote on Instagram: “I’ll learn from this. Great team performance and congratulations @patrick_bamford with the ⚽️⚽️⚽️ #MOT.”
Cooper responded: “20 mins get into them and have a bath🤣 was all that was needed from you tonight. Animal! 👏🏼👏🏼”
Meanwhile, Ben Gibson is among a number of players and ex-players who have praised Patrick Bamford on Twitter for his heroics against Villa.
The former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker scored all three goals for Leeds in their 3-0 win against Dean Smith’s side, and has received a lot of praise, as shown below.
