Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced that Nat Phillips has signed a new contract.
The centre-back was key to the Reds’ late push for the top four last season, and it’s fair to say he’s earned himself this new contract.
As you can imagine, Liverpool fans had plenty to say about this new deal, ad it’s fair to say that they were buzzing with this news.
Of course, there was the odd fan complaining about a lack of signings after this announcement came on transfer deadline day, but when you look at actual reaction to this news it was overwhelmingly positive.
To be honest, we can understand why the fanbase are so excited about this news, Phillips is an absolute cult hero at this point, and while he’s not going to be first-choice, he’s exactly the type of character you want at the club as he seems to be a consummate professional.
