Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to reports linking them to Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Tottenham seem to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with the likes of Nick Pope and Dean Henderson linked, but it’s Maignan who Spurs fans now seem to be keen on signing.
Indeed, fans on social media seemed to be over the moon after hearing these links to Maignan, and to be fair, we can understand why.
The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in France, playing every single game as Lille mount a serious title challenge over in Ligue 1, sitting level on points with PSG after 30 games.
The stopper earnt his first France cap last year, and it seems as though he could be Hugo Lloris’ replacement at club level as well as in the national team.
Whether or not this deal comes to fruition remains to be seen, but Tottenham fans online are certainly excited about the prospect of Maignan coming in.
