Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting after The Telegraph reported Manchester City have made a £100m offer for Jack Grealish.
So, why do Spurs fans care about City moving for Grealish? Well, the report states that the Manchester outfit have made this move after growing frustrated with their pursuit of Harry Kane, and fans are hoping that the Cityzens’ move for Grealish spells the end of their pursuit of Kane.
Of course, it will be hard for City to spend £100m on Grealish and a fee in excess of £150m on Kane in the same window, but with a club as rich as Manchester City you can never say never.
We’ve seen huge fees spent by the same club in one summer in the past. Think back to the summer of 2009 when Real Madrid broke the world transfer record twice on Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, The Telegraph’s article does seem to indicate that Grealish is now City’s priority ahead of Kane, and it’s fair to say Spurs fans are buzzing about that fact.
