Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo would be fit to face Arsenal on Sunday.

The Yorkshire Evening Post quote him as saying: ‘Kalvin [Phillips], yes. Rodrigo, yes. Diego Llorente, not yet. [Jamie] Shackleton, not yet. We have added Pablo Hernandez to the injury list also – he picked up a muscular injury this week. It is nothing serious but he won’t be available.’

The Yorkshire-based outfit have been without their £50 million-rated academy graduate since losing 1-0 to Wolves, after he suffered a shoulder injury.

In Rodrigo’s case, the Spain international has been missing since the 3-0 win over Aston Villa, having tested positive for Coronavirus shortly after.

However, Bielsa can now welcome the pivotal duo back into his starting XI, for what will be a tough game at Elland Road against one of the Premier League’s traditional top six.

While Phillips and Rodrigo are now fit, Diego Llorente is still missing.

Bielsa admits that the Spain international recovered from his initial problem, but relapsed soon after. Therefore, he is being given extra time to recover this time around, in order to avoid a repeat.

The former Marseille boss also said that Jamie Shackleton will miss the visit of Mikel Arteta’s side, while Pablo Hernandez has picked up a muscle injury.

Bielsa says the ex-Swansea playmaker’s injury is nothing serious, but it will keep him out of Sunday’s game.
