Leeds United fans are delighted after the club tweeted that Illan Meslier is now back in training ahead of their game against Newcastle United.
Meslier was recorded in training, as Leeds prepare for Tuesday night’s game at St. James’ Park.
The Frenchman will surely come straight back into Leeds’ line-up for the contest, which will be a major boost for the Whites.
Kiko Casilla has lost the trust of many Leeds supporters after a series of shaky displays.
And it seems that the Spaniard will go back to having a watching brief, with Meslier now back and available for selection.
Meslier has impressed this season, with the 20-year-old showing a maturity which is far above his years.
The Leeds stopper is the youngest regular starter in goal for any Premier League side, but he has not looked out of his depth, and is now a key player for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
If Leeds can beat Newcastle in midweek then they will ease some concerns forming around their recent performances, which have seen them lose their last three matches.
