Jose Enrique has urged Liverpool owners FSG on Twitter to sign Barcelona midfielder Gavi in the summer transfer window.

The former Liverpool star believes that Barcelona and Spain international midfielder is a very good player who would make Jurgen Klopp’s side better.

The Times have reported this week that Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing Gavi in the summer of 2023.

The report has claimed that the 18-year-old “could become available on a free transfer because of a dispute over whether the Spanish club can afford to register” him.

There is reportedly a dispute between Barcelona and La Liga over Gavi’s contract.

HITC Verdict: Summer transfer unlikely

In our view, Liverpool will not be able to sign Barcelona midfielder Gavi in the summer transfer window.

The £124,000-a-week (SalarySport) youngster is one of the best teenage footballers around.

Yes, there is an ongoing dispute, but we believe that Barcelona will eventually sort it out.

Gavi is just too valuable a player for Barcelona not to find a solution and settle their dispute with La Liga.

Yes, of course, Gavi would be a sensational signing for Liverpool, but we do not think that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League will be able to get him this summer.
