Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react after Johnny Phillips of Sky Sports revealed that Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is a target.

When writing a column in the Express and Star, Phillips outlined that Wolves are interested in the Serbia international with Jorge Mendes in pole position.

The Portuguese super agent – who works closely with Wolves – has connections with Benfica, who Jovic used to play for.

Additionally, Mendes earmarked the 23-year-old as a potential signing for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, so he’s done his background checks on the forward.

Jovic has struggled at Real Madrid since making a €65 million (£60 million) move from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bijeljina-born striker has only scored twice in 32 appearances for Los Blancos, having netted 36 in 75 games for Eintracht Frankfurt beforehand.

Given his age, potential and past goalscoring heroics, it would be a real coup for Wolves if Mendes managed to bring Jovic to Molineux.

The forward – previously a teammate of Raul Jimenez at Benfica – seems like he needs a fresh start elsewhere as his struggles under Zinedine Zidane continue.

Nuno Espirito Santo could also desperately do with the Serbian, as he lacks quality options to compete with, or deputise for, Jimenez.

Let’s see how the Wolves fans on Twitter reacted to the news…
