Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Paul Merson has been discussing David Moyes as he comes under fire at West Ham United.
The ex-Everton boss isn’t having the best of times at West Ham right now, and there has been discussion about the idea of Moyes getting sacked by the Hammers.
Indeed, according to The Times, the Scot’s fate could be sealed this weekend if West Ham don’t get the result they are looking for.
Merson believes that Moyes is still the man for West Ham, and he says that West Ham need to keep everything in precepting, claiming that a team like Leeds United would walk over broken glass to get Moyes through the door.

Leeds would have Moyes
The pundit gave his verdict on the West Ham gaffer.
“It would be one of the biggest shocks in football if West Ham get relegated with David Moyes in charge – he’s thick-skinned and he’s got the experience to get them out of trouble,” Merson wrote.
“If Moyes got sacked tomorrow morning Leeds would walk over broken glass to go and get him in. You’ve got to put it in perspective. Leeds would have him in tomorrow morning. It’s a no-brainer.”
Won’t be short of suitors
The reality is that the football managerial game can be cruel, and Moyes’ job does hang by a thread.
However, he can rest easy knowing that there will be no shortage of suitors if he does indeed lose his job at the London Stadium.
As Merson says, a team like Leeds would give their right arm to have a manager like Moyes at the helm, and there’s a few other clubs in the same boat.
Moyes may be out at West Ham soon, but it won’t be too long before he does get back into the game if he is indeed sacked.
