Middlesbrough supporters are reacting on Twitter to reports linking Djed Spence with several Premier League clubs including Everton, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace.
Teamtalk claims that Everton, Newcastle, Wolves and Palace are among those who have been ‘doing regular checks on Spence’.
And the website adds that Middlesbrough ‘face a battle to keep hold’ of the 20-year-old beyond the January transfer window.
Spence came through the ranks at Fulham, but moved to Boro in the summer of 2018 and made his debut shortly afterwards.

He has since appeared on a further 34 occasions and scored two goals from right-back or -midfield.
But while some of a Middlesbrough persuasion would prefer to hang on to the London-born talent, others are willing to cash in – provided the likes of Everton, Newcastle, Wolves and Crystal Palace are ready to stump up that magic amount.
Middlesbrough tied down Spence to a new three-and-a-half-year contract last December, leaving the Teesside club in a strong position to negotiate should any of Everton, Newcastle, Wolves or Crystal Palace choose to firm up their ‘interest’.
