Don Hutchison has said on Premier League Productions that he is disappointed with Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The ESPN pundit has said that he was expecting a lot from Thiago when Liverpool signed him from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020.
The former Liverpool and Everton midfielder has said that Thiago has not done well for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Hutchison said about Thiago on Premier League Productions: “He needs to get going because when Liverpool signed Thiago from Bayern, I thought, ‘What a signing that’s going to be! That’s going to take Liverpool to City’s style of play, when you are struggling to break someone down. he is going to be the man’.
“He has not done it yet.”

Thiago needs to do better
Many Liverpool fans will agree with Hutchison about Thiago.
The 30-year-old Spain international midfielder has really not wowed the Liverpool fans.
Well, not on consistent basis anyway.
However, we cannot be too harsh on Thiago.

The reason is that the former Barcelona star had injury problems last season.
Thiago has had fitness issues this campaign as well.
The Liverpool no. 6 has made two starts in the Premier League and none in the Champions League so far this season.
Now, we cannot really judge a player until and unless he has got a run of eight to 10 games.
We have no doubt that Thiago will turn out to be a great signing if he stays fit and gets a run in the team.
