Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Trevor Birch has left the club.
Spurs signed the former Swansea City chairman as their Director of Football Operations as recently as September.
But three months on, Spurs have today revealed on their Twitter account that Birch has left to take up a role as Chief Executive of the English Football League.

Birch, who may have played a part in the Lilywhites’ acquisition of Joe Rodon from Swansea, clearly had a very decent impact in the three months he spent in North London.
But Tottenham will be on the look out for a replacement now and it’ll be interesting to see if this development leads to further speculation about Luis Campos.
The Portuguese transfer guru, who has worked with Jose Mourinho in the past, was heavily linked with a move to the club in May as Director of Football.
And although the role that Birch vacates is slightly different, it’s also similar and renewed interest in Campos might just crop up again.
