Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in frustration after hearing Jürgen Klopp’s current stance on the club’s recruitment.

What’s the story?

Well, by the sounds of it, Klopp isn’t that bothered about the lack of incomings at Anfield.

The German was keen to emphasise how many options he has at his disposal, and said that he doesn’t want more players unless some leave.

Speaking to TV 2 Sporten, Klopp said: “We do not want more players.

“Let’s go through the squad. Do you want to buy a new full-back? A new goalkeeper? We already have good players there. In midfield, we have players with a lot of experience, such as Thiago, Fabinho, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain & Keita. Also, exciting boys like Jones & Elliott.

“In attack, we have Mané, Firmino, Salah, Jota, Shaqiri, Minamino and Origi.”

Now, as you can see, the transfer-hungry Liverpool fans on Twitter are far from pleased about his comments.

So far, Liverpool’s £36m capture of Ibrahima Konate is the only business done by Michael Edwards so far.

Jürgen Klopp’s comments shouldn’t surprise Liverpool fans

It must be noted that Klopp is a master of man management.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund boss knows how to make his players feel loved.

In that respect, he’s hardly likely to come out and say that he doesn’t think players like Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri are good enough, right?

Also, if he did say something critical of his fringe players, then that’s only likely to see them receive less interest from afar.

After many successful years at Anfield, we feel the Liverpool fans should put a bit more trust in Klopp’s skills – he doesn’t need additions to succeed.

For now, let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to his comments…
