Rangers are lacking an attacking spark – and yet Eros Grezda still isn’t getting playing time.

Rangers recorded a third poor performance in a row on Wednesday night as they could only draw 1-1 at home with Kilmarnock, leaving some fans underwhelmed with Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Gers drew 0-0 with Spartak Moscow last week and lost 1-0 to Aberdeen on Sunday, leaving Gerrard to demand a response against Kilmarnock – but he didn’t get one.
The problem for Rangers right now lies in the final third. One goal in three games isn’t good enough, and there appears to be a lack of sharpness in attack, even with Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos in form.
That lack of sharpness should give opportunities to other players, and yet £2million summer signing Eros Grezda has barely been used even with Gerrard’s pleas for more an impact going forward.
Grezda, 23, arrived from Osijek over the summer, and whilst he had to be brought up to speed due to lingering fitness woes, but even still, he isn’t being given chances.
Grezda has made just a handful of appearances, including a 22-minute cameo against Spartak, but was curiously left on the bench against both Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.

Gerrard’s decisions to leave Grezda out are becoming eyebrow-raising at this point. After spending £2million on the Albanian international, Gerrard should be doing everything to get Grezda onto the pitch to give Rangers the spark they are looking for.
With blistering pace and an eye for goal, Grezda could have a huge impact on Rangers, but the longer he is left completely out of the side, the more baffling and confusing his absence becomes – and it’s surely time for Grezda to be unleashed when Rangers take on St Mirren this weekend.
