Liverpool might have failed to walk away from Brentford with all three points, but it was a performance to remember for Curtis Jones.

The Reds academy graduate bagged Liverpool’s third goal of the evening as the midfielder fired Jurgen Klopp’s side 3-2 up in west London. However, Brentford ruined the party with an 82nd equaliser.

Indeed, it was a stunning turnaround from Thomas Frank’s side and one of the best games the Premier League has seen this season.

Jones might be on the board for the season, with the draw against Brentford has put a major dent for Liverpool in the title race with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United also dropping points earlier in the day.

Yet supporters on social media were buzzing for the midfielder. Moreover, Jones took to Twitter to post a 12-word message after his display.

The England youth international posted: “Tough game, disappointed not to take all 3pts today. We Keep Going!”
