Rangers winger Jordan Jones was sent off against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has warned Jordan Jones that he won’t get fans on his side with tackles like the one he was sent off for against Celtic.
The Gers were beaten 2-0 by their Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday afternoon, with Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes scoring the goals for the Bhoys.
Rangers were disappointing throughout, and their dismal afternoon was summed up by winger Jones picking up a straight red card late on.
Jones – who came on as a second half substitute – produced a rash challenge on Moritz Bauer and was given his marching orders, and it may get even worse for him.
The Scottish Sun report that summer signing Jones actually injured himself making the challenge, and he could be out for months with feared ligament damage.
Gerrard has now told Rangers TV that he doesn’t understand what Jones was thinking about, and warned him that he won’t get fans on his side making ‘immature’ tackles like that.
“It was a red card, for sure, no complaints,” said Gerrard. “I don’t know what’s going through Jordan’s head there. You don’t get fans on your side by doing immature stuff like that, you do it by creating and scoring goals, and that’s what we want from Jordan Jones, not tackles like that, that are way late,” he added.

Jones needs a big response when he’s able to play again, as Rangers responded to their defeat by splashing the cash on Liverpool winger Ryan Kent on Monday night.
Kent plays in the same position as Jones and is already a favourite of Gerrard and the Rangers fans, meaning he will surely be one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Jones really hasn’t done himself any favours, especially with Brandon Barker on board now too, and with Gerrard warning him about the Rangers fans, he needs to show them what he’s really about when he’s back, even after a decent summer.
