Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed the Gers have rejected bids for Alfredo Morelos, Nathan Patterson and Ryan Kent as the Gers boss confessed he was happy to have kept all his key players at the club when the transfer window closed.

A number of key players at Ibrox have been linked with moves away in recent season with Gerrard admitting some “healthy” bids have come in despite falling short of Rangers‘ valuation.
The Rangers boss also revealed he was prepared for any of his players to have been sold and would have shown no resistance had the board felt a bid was acceptable as he reflected on the inevitable interest in his players during the window.
“I think that will always be the case at Rangers [teams being linked with players],” Gerrard said. [Follow Follow]
“You always want to keep hold of your best players and the players who will give you the best chance at being successful moving forward.
“That is a little bit of me being selfish but I also understand the side of it how the business works.
“I was well prepared for my phone going at any given moment if the right bid landed for a player and the board wanted to accept that, there wouldn’t have been any resistance as long as they were happy on their side.
“This club has had some real healthy bids for our players in the last two or three windows for our players. To be fair to the board, they’ve stayed strong in those situations because they’ve just fell short of our valuations, ie Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.

“We had some bids for Nathan Patterson that were way off his valuation in this recent window.
“The reality is the valuations from me, Ross (Wilson) and the board collectively no one has hit those numbers but from a selfish point of view, I’m happy with that situation.”
Patterson was linked with a move to Everton in the final weeks of the window while Leeds United have been long-time admirers of Ryan Kent.
Alfredo Morelos, depending on which Portuguese paper you believe, was close to joining Porto over the summer although the likelihood is that was just his agent touting him around Europe as he has every other summer.
