Aston Villa face Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday in what is the closest thing either club have to a derby these days.
Indeed, with Birmingham City and West Brom scrapping it out in the Championship, the Premier League’s West Midlands bragging rights are up for grabs in this one.
Both Villa and Wolves are enjoying relatively decent seasons. Villa are looking electric going forward since the arrival of Philippe Coutinho, while Wolves have been one of the most defensively sound teams in the division, so this should be an interesting clash of styles.
With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Villa’s starting XI for this one.

It’s not the most outlandish or controversial team you’ll ever see predicted, but we think Gerrard will make just one change from the team that lost to Arsenal.
Lucas Digne comes in for Ashley Young, and other than that, it’s the same team that lost to the Gunners.
To be honest, this team almost picks itself these days. Villa have had a very settled XI under Gerrard and we expect him to once again trust this group of players to get a result.
Perhaps the one selection headache Gerrard does have is with Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings, but we’re expecting Watkins to get the nod over the former Southampton man this time around.
