Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Aston Villa are interested in signing Yves Bissouma from Brighton.
Villa have probably landed the main event signing of the January transfer window, so far, following their purchase of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona on a six-month loan deal.
But Steven Gerrard isn’t seemingly stopping there because they want to add Bissouma to their ranks, according to Sky Sports.
Arsenal supporters have supplied a mixed reaction to these rumours because he is a player that has been on their radar before.
Bissouma is on Africa Cup of Nations duty and will represent Mali during these coming weeks.
Whilst he is on another continent, it doesn’t mean that no business can be done if those in Villa colours seriously put their foot down and want to add him to their ranks.
With Gerrard at the helm and Coutinho signed up, there will be a bit of bounce around B6 that they can sign the players they want this month.
Either way, Arsenal fans also made it clear that Bissouma is a player they want at their club.
The hard-hitting Brighton player has an excellent defensive brain and the composure needed to dominate a midfield.
There are some who will argue that if Bissouma is going to make a transfer away from the Amex, then he should go to a club in Europe.
Well, neither Villa nor Arsenal are in that boat, at this moment in time, although the Gunners, who are currently sitting in fourth spot in the Premier League table, will think they can end their return to the Champions League at the end of this campaign.
