It’s been an excellent start to the season for Rangers.
Steven Gerrard’s side sit top of the Scottish Premiership after winning five of their six league games so far this season.
More importantly, Rangers also have an early six-point lead over 10-in-a-row candidates Celtic, albeit with Neil Lennon’s side having played two less matches.
Still, it’s been a really encouraging start for a Gers side that absolutely have to win the Premiership this season, to prevent their Old Firm rivals from making history.
Every season has its low points, however, and Gerrard has revealed one for the Ibrox outfit now.
The Rangers boss has confirmed in a press conference via the club’s official Twitter account that Joe Aribo could miss up to six weeks with an ankle injury.
The Nigeria international, who earns £20,000 per week in Glasgow, has been exceptional for Gerrard’s side in recent months, including a very strong pre-season campaign.

Credit to Gerrard for looking on the bright side, spinning it to look like ‘good news’ on the basis that Aribo has avoided surgical intervention.
But the reality is that it really isn’t good news for Rangers, who will be missing one of their most influential players until perhaps November.
The positive thing is that the transfer window remains open for another month, so Gerrard and Director of Football Ross Wilson have time to minimise the blow.
