Steven Gerrard has the chance to reunite with two former stars at Rangers.

Charlie Adam is the latest of Steven Gerrard’s former teammates to turn his attention towards a move to Rangers.
Adam is quoted by the Daily Record claiming he is keen on a return to Ibrox and leaving Stoke City behind.
This follows a report from CNN Turkey which claims Rangers are considering renewing their interest in signing Fenerbahce’s Martin Skrtel in January.
Skrtel and Adam played in the same Liverpool team as Steven Gerrard. Adam spent a single season at Anfield.
Adam and Skrtel are big names, but Rangers must consider that the date is approaching the end of 2018, and it is not the summer of 2011.
Skrtel turns 34 next month and his Fenerbahce side are struggling in the bottom half of the Turkish Super Lig.

Adam is 33 on December 10 and he has not started a game all season for Stoke City, who are 14th in the Championship.
Both players would be eye catching additions for Rangers and create headlines, but it is hard to see them having the desired impact.
Skrtel and Adam are short term fixes for positions which Rangers really do not need to gamble.
Perhaps Rangers can afford to take a punt on one of them, but Gerrard must try to avoid signing both, and must ensure his focus is on youth when it comes to recruitment.
