Rangers winger Jamie Murphy could return to action this season.

Rangers both Steven Gerrard has told the Daily Record that there’s a ‘small chance’ Jamie Murphy will be back in action before the end of the season.
The Gers beat Hearts 3-0 at Ibrox on Wednesday night, as Jermain Defoe, Connor Goldson and Scott Arfield all found the net in a fine win.
Rangers will be hoping to spark a strong end to the season after a wobble recently, especially with Gerrard looking to weigh up his squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
He may well receive a major boost soon, as winger Jamie Murphy is stepping up his return from a major knee injury sustained way back in August.
The 29-year-old signed permanently from Brighton and Hove Albion last summer after a decent loan spell, and was a regular in the early stages of Gerrard’s reign.
However, he suffered a torn ACL at Kilmarnock in August, with the belief that he would miss the rest of the season as he attempted to come back from a major lay-off.

Now, Gerrard has admitted that there’s a ‘small chance’ Murphy will be involved in the last week or so of the season having made great progress, giving Rangers a boost as the winger looks to make just a ninth appearance of a lost season.
“Jamie has got a small chance to be involved in the last week or two,” said Gerrard. “He’s progressing well. Jamie’s happy and we’re happy with how it’s progressing. We’ll keep analysing as the weeks go by,” he added.
