Chelsea midfielder André Schürrle scored a brace off the bench to see of Brazil in a 7-1 humiliation.
Manuel Neuer 8 – Barely had anything to do but when called upon at the beginning of the second half, produced an incredible reaction save to deny Paulinho.
Philipp Lahm 8 – There have been some legendary captains down the line and Lahm will definitely become one of those. Another superb game.
Jerome Boateng 8 – Stopped anything close to an attack, could pick at his approach to Oscar’s goal.
Mats Hummels 8 – Another wonderful performance, becoming the defender of the tournament.
Benedikt Höwedes 7 – With not much to do, did his job well but almost didn’t have a chance with everyone else playing so well.
Bastian Schweinsteiger 8 – Brilliant in that midfield yet again, so composed and oozes confidence around him.
Sami Khedira 9 – What a game from the Real Madrid man, has come back from injury with brilliant form. Got a goal that deserved his form.
Thomas Müller 8 – Fifth goal of the World Cup, 10th in two tournaments, only one goal behind James Rodriguez in the quest for the golden boot.
Toni Kroos 9 – Well if he wanted to show off his key selling points he’s certainly done that, setting up two goals and scoring two.
Mesut Özil 7 – Despite an assist and a Germany whitewash, still didn’t look to match his teamates’ performances. Missed a sitter near the end.
Miroslav Klose 7 – Broken the record and is now the World Cup’s all time leading goal scorer. Other than his goal, he was actually quite quiet.
