Leeds United defender Robin Koch ‘suffered’ last night, according to the player reviews in Suddeutsche Zeitung.
The Leeds defender played for the full 90 minutes, but badly struggled as his country were beaten 6-0 by Spain.
Germany just could not cope with Spain’s attacking flair, and Koch looked all at sea, as Joachim Low’s side’s defence was cut open time after time.
The Leeds summer signing was making just his seventh international appearance.
And Suddeutsche Zeitung thought his lack of experience at the top level showed.
“Plays in England but has not otherwise passed that many international endurance tests,” they wrote.

“Experienced the whole tough tour in his seventh international match.
“The Spaniards repeatedly faced tasks that he could not (yet) solve. Had to suffer through 90 minutes.”
Koch will now return to Leeds, and Marcelo Bielsa will be praying that his summer signing’s confidence hasn’t been knocked too badly by the hammering.
Koch is almost certain to start for Leeds on Sunday when they take on Arsenal, as they are short in numbers currently.
With Diego Llorente out injured, Koch appears set to start alongside Liam Cooper at the back, and the Leeds defender will be hoping for a much more positive result with his club side.
