Liverpool have got off to a strong start to this Premier League season, losing only one of their first six league matches – and scoring 11 goals in their last three games.

And, according to Squawka, former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier said at Soccerex that he believes the club will only improve under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Houllier, who won six trophies in as many years in charge at Anfield, is said to believe that the current Liverpool squad could challenge for their first league title in 26 years.

“They are good enough for that (winning the league),” Houllier is quoted as saying
“They are entertaining and also extremely efficient,” he added. “You just have to see the number of goals they score. They have a new philosophy, and I like the coach. The best is yet to come.”

Under Klopp, Liverpool have one of the Premier League’s most talented squads, and the club’s the new summer recruits have started brightly — especially Sadio Mane, who has looked dangerous every time he plays.

With no midweek Europe action to contend with, Liverpool are currently exceeding expectations. And club fans are cautiously optimistic.
