Former Everton loanee Gerard Deulofeu has been named as one of the players tipped to become part of the new-look Barcelona side next season.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are on the verge of what they are calling “a revolution” this summer.
So what exactly does that involve? Well, according to that report it means the La Liga giants are set to bring in 10 new (or returning) faces, which could be bad news for a number of clubs looking to sign Europe’s top talent this summer.
The report claims new Barca boss Luis Enrique hopes to sign a number of new players including reported Manchester United target Marco Reus , who was cruelly ruled out of the World Cup just days before it began.
Then there is defender Marquinhos, who has also been tipped to move to United but who seems destined to replace the retired Carles Puyol at the heart of the Barcelona defence.
But perhaps most interestingly, Enrique will also reportedly promote young players Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu, the latter having been on loan at Everton last season.
The young winger was not shy in expressing his desire to make it at Barca, and the latest report suggests he will be part of the “revolution”.
| Goals | Goal Assist | Key Pass | Mins | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gerard Deulofeu | 3 | 3 | 9 | 893 |
The player scored three goals, provided three assists and played nine key passes in the Premier League during his spell at Everton.
But it was his all-round play and confidence on the flank that really caught the eye, and there is every chance he could make it at the Spanish giants. After all, he certainly has both the confidence and the talent.
